It is reported that Mattel and Oscar winner, producer and screenwriter Akiva Goldsman will team up to make this project a reality. It should be noted that Goldsman is also working on the film ‘Major Matt Mason’ starring Tom Hanks, and on the sequel to the 2005 comic book adaptation ‘Constantine: Lord of Darkness,’ in which Keanu Reeves is set to reprise his titular role.
The Monster High series debuted in 2010
Positioned as entertainment for children in the vein of the 90s Beetlejuice cartoon. The story centres around a group of characters, each representing a classic monster archetype embodied in the body of a fashion doll. They are supposedly the teenage children of famous characters from literature and film.
